Research on the maximum power point tracking method of photovoltaic based on Newton interpolation-assisted particle swarm algorithm

Abstract Solar energy has attracted a lot of attention because it is clean and no pollution. However, due to the partially shaded condition, photovoltaic array cannot work uniformly at maximum power point, resulting in large loss. To improve this problem, research point tracking (MPPT) algorithm discussed by scholars. In paper, an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) proposed achieve goal MPPT, which uses Newton interpolation-assisted conventional PSO. After interpolation method used calculate reduce number iterations PSO steady-state oscillation. The simulation carried out MATLAB®/Simulink® compared with results show that better accuracy speed than algorithm, initial increased >30%.
